Bumbet Brasil
Based out of Brazil and hanging their licence in Curacao, Bumbet Sportsbook is an online bookmaker trying to establish themselves in both South America and further afield. They have both a sportsbook and casino and like many new firms, claim to put the client first, with good customer support and a strong sign up bonus. With a fairly small pool of legitimate South American bookmakers, can Bumbet step up to the plate and claim some market share? Are their odds generous, their promotions attractive enough and is the site intuitive, or are they a bum betting company? We find out.
Website
BumBet is operated by BSports Media and is a member of the Betting Partners network, the same group that managed well-known brands like Bodog, one of the earliest high-profile online gambling sites. That offers a lot of clout and plenty of experience, something many new sites can’t boast. BumBet is one of the newest online sports betting sites. It was launched in Brazil just three years ago (2017), and obtained its license in Curacao. As a South American sportsbook, BumBet is a tad unusual – it’s also already a big fish in a fairly small pond. BumBet This Brazilian sportsbook is a must for bettors looking for an easy wagering experience. With a great welcome bonus and action on all your favorite sports (football, soccer and more!), Bumbet is perfect for bettors of all levels because of how responsive the site is on desktop and mobile.
At first glance, the website seems a little amateurish. A grey, navy blue, blue and green theme has been adopted and the landing page displays a number of graphics in the centre, with scrolling banners showing promotions and bonuses. There is just a slightly cheap feel when it comes to the quality of the banners etc. Customers can choose from the casino or sportsbook on the left hand side, and when clicking on the link, the list of sports appears on the left hand side, with live and upcoming events in the centre.
When bettors click on their desired sport, the submarkets appear on the horizontal banner in the centre of the page. It can take a minute to spot, and with each click into a further country/league etc. another drop down list appears in the centre of the page. This approach to opening markets is not too common, with most bookmakers including all of their markets directly under each individual sport instead. One redeeming feature of the Bumbet website is that they do have an extensive statistics section, powered by Betradar. Bettors can delve into a trends and data which can help them make more informed betting decisions.

Bumbet Sportsbook offers a 100% welcome bonus for bookmaker customers, up to a maximum of R$200 if you are in Brazil, or $60 in other countries. As is standard, there are several terms and conditions attached to this offer. To obtain the bonus, users must select the ‘Welcome Sports’ option on the bonus panel when depositing for the first time.
Before being allowed to request a withdrawal, bettors must turn over the deposit plus the bonus at least 5 times on sports. If a customer bets at odds on, then only the odds on portion of that bet counts towards the rollover requirement. For example, if they have a $100 bet on a 1.50 shot, then only 50% goes towards the wagering requirements. The total rollover requirement for someone who takes advantage of the full R$200 bonus would be R$2000 (R$200 deposit + R$200 bonus x 5).
Sports Markets & Odds
At present, Bumbet have a total of 23 different sports available for their clients. All of the most popular disciplines such as football, tennis, basketball and boxing are present, with the most niche betting event being e-sports. There are no real specialist sports listed with Bumbet at present.
The odds on offer are actually pretty reasonable for a new, growing bookmaker. Top flight football matches are typically priced up to a book percentage of around 105.5%, which whilst not being market leading, is very competitive. Basketball handicap lines run to 104.7%, and tennis matches usually fall in the 106-106.5% range (the closer to 100%, the more competitive the book). Many of the newer firms will be a couple of percent higher with each sport, so Bumbet Sportsbook must be commended for offering competitive odds.
The number of additional markets for each market is okay, but could be improved upon. Taking the FA Cup football matches as an example, there are an extra 59 markets for the Manchester United v Reading match. To put this into perspective Bet365 had 113 extra markets, and BetVictor had 94.
The main sport in Brazil is undoubtedly football, and although the professional season has finished, Bumbet still offer odds on domestic Under 20 matches, with an additional 10/20 markets for each match. On top of the 1X2, customers can bet on total goals, over/under, correct score and more.
Currency
At present, deposits can only be made in Brazilian Real and US Dollars.
Banking Options
Bumbet don’t have an extensive list of different deposit options, but they do have Bitcoin, which is becoming an increasingly popular way of paying for things online. The deposit methods available are:
- Credit card ($20/$500 min/max deposits)
- Bitcoin ($20/$500 min/max deposits)
- Bank wire ($20/$1000 min/max deposits)
- Neteller ($20/$1000 min/max deposits)
The minimum limit seems quite high for each method, and the maximum seems quite low.
Restricted Countries
Citizens residing in the following countries cannot bet with Bumbet Sportsbook:
United States, South Africa, Afghanistan, Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, North Korea, Ivory Coast, Canada, Croatia, Cuba, Denmark, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Falkland Islands, France, French Guiana, Guyana, Georgia, Hungary, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Latvia, Laos, Lithuania, Libya, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, Poland, Kyrgyzstan, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Sudan, South Georgia, South Korea, South Sandwich Islands, Spain, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu and Yemen.
Languages / Customer Support
The website can be viewed in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Bumbet claim to have customer service available 24/7 via live chat and also by e-mail. It is indeed true that there is always someone there to answer queries, but they do not always have an English speaking agent on live chat. Therefore, sometimes English speaking customers will have to e-mail support and wait a little while for a response.
Mobile App
Bumbet do not currently have their own betting app, but they do have an optimized website for handheld devices. The mobile site works fine, and is very similar to the desktop version in its colour scheme and layout. In terms of responsiveness, the pages can be a little slow to load.
Verdict
Passport Book Number Brasileiro
Bumbet have made a solid start as an online bookmaker. Their odds are competitive, their sign up bonus is good (the rollover requirements are not too bad) and although they don’t have an extensive list of sports, all of the major disciplines are covered. Their site is a little unresponsive and could be a more professionally designed, and the deposit minimums could be lower and the maximums could be higher. Having said that, we definitely wouldn’t put bettors off signing up for an account with this Brazilian bookmaker, as their services are likely to improve over time.
